Fall 2026 Friendship Pharmacy LTC Internship Program
This fall, Friendship Pharmacy LTC is launching a new internship program for students throughout the Greater Philadelphia area who are interested in exploring careers in pharmacy, healthcare, and related fields.
The program gives students the opportunity to step inside a working long-term care pharmacy and gain real-world exposure to how medications and pharmacy services are delivered to skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, and other senior living organizations throughout the region.
Interns will see firsthand the people, technology, processes, and coordination that work together behind the scenes to help ensure residents receive the medications they need, when they need them.
Go Beyond the Classroom
The Friendship Pharmacy LTC Internship Program is designed to give students a behind-the-scenes look at the pharmacy and healthcare industry while introducing them to a variety of potential career paths.
Depending on their interests and the opportunities available throughout the program, interns may gain exposure to:
- Pharmacy operations and medication fulfillment
- Long-term care and senior living
- Pharmacy technology and automation
- Medication packaging and delivery
- Customer service and facility support
- Healthcare business operations
- Pharmacist and pharmacy technician career paths
Throughout the experience, students will have opportunities to learn directly from pharmacy and healthcare professionals, ask questions, and better understand how different roles work together to support residents and care teams.
